Change of Vice Captain
Many of you will already be aware that Mark Fisher has been experiencing a shoulder injury that has prevented him from playing for a number of weeks now, and more recently he has exacerbated that injury further while on holiday. Unfortunately, his long-term outlook involves a protracted and lengthy term of physiotherapy, prohibiting him from playing golf. With this in mind, Mark has made the decision to step down as my vice captain to concentrate on getting back to full fitness and returning to the golf course in the not-too-distant future.
Mark will still be around, keeping in touch as both a club member and a valued member of the Seniors committee.
Mark had already recruited Neil Clark as his vice captain for 2026, so I am pleased to confirm Neil has agreed to be my vice captain for 2025, with a succession plan for Mark to then become Neil’s vice captain for 2026.
I am sure you all join me in wishing mark a speedy recovery and return to the golf course in the near future.
