I regret to announce that Bill Aslin, who many Seniors members will have known, has recently passed away following a brief period of illness.

Due to mobility issues Bill has mainly just played in the Par 3 Club these past few years, but prior to that he was a regular player in the Seniors competitions and events.

Bill’s step daughter, Katherine, would welcome any of Bill’s golfing friends to attend the funeral to be held at Wilford Hill Crematorium at 2:30pm on Thursday, 17th September.

If you have any photos or tributes that you would like including in the service, I will be happy to pass them on to Katherine.
More details are expected soon.

Seniors Charity Open

Our inaugural Seniors Charity Open competition was held on Thursday 16th July, on what we
believe was a very enjoyable and successful day, helped not least by the very pleasant weather.
We welcomed 23 teams from a mixture of Ramsdale members and visiting clubs, some of whom
had never played the course before.

Our visitors were extremely complimentary about the organisation and the condition of the course,
which pays testament to a huge team effort from both RPGC and the Seniors section.
I’d like to take this opportunity to thank all those that worked so hard to make this happen but more
so to those that attended, who’s support and generosity made this event possible and enabled us
to support the clubs chosen charity.

Congratulations to all the winners and we very much look forward to seeing you again next year.
