New – Garth Hallam’s 90th Birthday Event – New

Yet another of our Senior golfers reaches the age of 90!  To celebrate Garth Hallam’s 90th birthday we have organised a special event.

The event will take place on Thursday the 8 August.

We will be playing a Team Stableford (best 3 scores),

Entry fee is £8 each (Pay by card to either Richard Hone or David Costin)

The entry fee is inclusive of a subsidised meal  in the upstairs restaurant (menu to be confirmed), followed by a presentation.

Due to planned maintenance of the greens (Seely) on 5^th & 6^th August only the Front 9 holes will be available on Monday, 5^th August and the Back 9 holes on Tuesday, 6^th August.

The Monthly Medal (Aggregate) will now be played on Monday, 12^th August and it will just be a 9 Hole Stableford on Monday 5^th August.

The Lee course greens are also being done – Monday, 12^th August (Back 9) and Wednesday, 14^th August (Front 9).

This local rule has been temporarily introduced rather than having any patches marked with white lines and GUR.

If your ball is on a bald patch on any green you are allowed to treat the bald patch as GUR and therefore take free relief at the nearest point of relief, no nearer the hole.
