Obituary

Winston Jones

 

Many of you have been aware that Winston Jones was recently admitted to hospital because he was suffering from a shoulder injury that wasn’t responding to treatment. Unfortunately extensive medical investigations revealed that his problems were far more serious and unfortunately untreatable.

We have been informed today that tragically Winston Jones peacefully passed away today with his wife Yvonne by his side. Our thoughts are with Yvonne.

This has come as a shock to all of us. Winston was a very enthusiastic golfer and was very well known throughout the Club. All of us will miss him greatly. We will miss his flow of anecdotes, his amazing knowledge of music, and most of all his companionship.
As soon as we have information about the funeral arrangements, we will inform everyone.
