Minutes of Monthly Seniors Meeting

Minutes from previous meeting:

  1. Minutes accepted as a true record.

Matters arising from previous minutes:

  1. Captain’s Away-day – changing the actual date or making a provisional date might not be able to be done until the original booking has been cancelled.

Finance Report:

  1. Income for May – £106.00 / expenditure for May – ££131.46 / deficit for May – £25.46
  2. Balance for May – £7497.96 / outstanding vouchers – £1585.00 / actual cash balance for May – £5912.96

Monday Club Report:

  1. Numbers are holding up. The use of Master Scoreboard is good and the time slots are being filled.
  2. The whiteboard should be used again by the 21st June. Using the whiteboard creates commaderie and a sense of involvement.

Competitions Report:

  1. All competitions are underway and are shown on Master Scoreboard.
  2. Registration monies are to be collected in one payment and Steve Duty has agreed to collect the money.
  3. Singles and Winter Pairs matches need to be played by agreed times (usually by month end) but we are flexible to allow a carry forward.
  4. Going forwards we will need to review this matter at a later date, as to whether we are stricter about carry forwards.

Prizes Report:

  1. Nothing to report at this time.

A.O.B.:

  1. The Seniors captain is obligated to attend the Main club meetings. There is an generic email which is applicable to the present Seniors captain. To find out what this is, need to contact either R Hone or M Bettison.
  2. Stuart mentioned that if the Main club has the Seniors captain personal email, this can be used instead.
  3. It was asked if we can use the Seniors notice board again. Initially it wasn’t used due to stopping congregating in one place.
  4. A quick word with Theresa to ask permission to use the notice board again this year.
  5. Captain’s Away-day – (first tee at 10:30) – insurance policy for the hole-in-one competition – can it be done again this year?
  6. A suggestion to have a mini AGM after the Seniors comp on the 27th May or after a Seniors Monday comp – along with stew and dumplings meal.
