Project Information:-

The Seniors Section are currently developing a mobile app system to record scores for special team events where the format of play is non standard and therefore not supported by our Club system, or the event is at another venue and we do not have access to the club system.

This project is making good progress , and we are grateful to all those members who have been willing to participate in the trial use of this system and help greatly with the development.

Usually scores (strokes taken) are entered as each hole is played, and in this situation it opens up the possibility of a live leaderboard being available. This is currently being developed and early indications are that it could work .. but it is only meaningful if all groups are able to keep their scores updated as they play.

In instances where any groups are unable keep their scores updated as they play, for example in bad weather situations, it is still extremely helpful if the scores are entered on completion of the round. This would still save time with the processing and checking of all the scorecards.

For now the main benefit is that scores are entered in a timely manner and that the competition results can be processed and checked quickly. This will greatly reduce the time it takes to be ready for announcing the winners and presenting the prizes.
