Minutes of Monthly Seniors Meeting

08th April 2019

Minutes of previous meeting:

  1. a) minutes accepted as a true record

Matters arising from minutes:

  1. b) New amount of prize moneys to be handed out for Monday club – decrease of £12 per week.
  2. c) All Cup and Competition matches prize monies to be reduced by £10 per person.
  3. d) With the savings being created Steve Duty suggested that the raffle monies received on Match days be given to a charity. To be deferred until we know how our deficit is to be shown.
  4. e) CCTV in the entrance foyer – Steve Norton to meet with a security consultant to the practicality of adding an extra camera to the system. The main club is to finance this.
  5. f) Pros to be allowed in competitions – not able to play during the team times, not able to play in team competitions, not able to win any money.
  6. g) Exceptional score cards – before being handed in they will compared to the player’s record (over the past term). A courtesy notification will be given to the member that an exceptional card has been submitted.

Finance:

  1. a) Mike has made enquiries to see about on-line bank, to be mentioned at the next meeting.
  2. b) Nothing else to report at this time.

Monday Club Report:

  1. a) All is going well, still very popular.
  2. b) The morning tee timings have been increased to 09:50, an additional 3 times.

Competitions:

  1. a) David is and will be collecting the competition entry fees.
  2. b) Phil Rankin will collect the fee for the Summer Aggregate Stapleford.
  3. c) David will close entries for competitions prior to the appropriate draw – better for admin purposes and to ensure that all names are included.

Prizes and trophies:

  1. a) Clarification was given that all prize monies will be given to the recipients at the Presentation Evening in October.

AOB:

  1. b) It was mentioned that yellow tee qualifiers on Thursdays will be for Seniors only (Summer Cup).
  2. c) Brian handed out raffle tickets for the Charity Day Prize Draw, to be drawn on 27th July 2019.
  3. d) The intrallation of the bell on the 9th hole will be going ahead in due course.
  4. e) Phil Rankin and Paul Jefferson are not continuing with the Thursday Fuddle this winter and volunteers are being sought to continue this competition.
