Minutes of Monthly Meeting
11th March 2019
Present: Stephen Duty, Stuart Murry, David Dandie, Keith Hepworth, Mike Jefferies, David Costin, Brian Bailey, David lark, Patrick McDonough.

4: Matters arising from the minutes
There were no matters.
5: Finance Report
Draft budget was submitted. We have a stable income. To help increase more income it was suggested to have any entry for the Summer and Winter cups : £ fee.
Over the last two years we have had losses of over £1000 per year. It was suggested that we increase the Monday Club entry fee from £3 to £4 per person. After some debate this is not being considered.
The main Club has waived the entry fee for our club matches. This will help reduce our expenditure.
Our major expenses/ meals provided at the draw for the Summer Singles and for the Winter Pairs, cobs and coffee provided for this year’s AGM, the Christmas meal and the cost of assisting the cost of the Presentation Evening meal, prize monies given for all competitions.
It was suggested that we reduce the prize money across the board to save some money expenditure.
Another way suggested to reduce expenditure was that we provided cheaper meals / cobs and coffee instead of pies, chips and peas. After discussion we will keep the meals as they are but drop the prize money, reducing the amount by approximately £12 per week.
At the next meeting we will discuss the prize money distribution for the Winter Pairs, Order of Merit.
Our home match meals are to remain the same at £13.
6: Monday Club Report
All is OK
Winding up/closing down the competitions on the day in order to present the prizes will be deferred and prizes will be handed out on the next competition day, as of 1st April 2019
7: Competitions
Phil Rankin and Paul Jefferies are to run the Summer Aggregate and will collect the fees.
Summer Singles will be drawn on the 28th March 2019,
Winter Pairs final will be played on the 21st March 2019
8: Prizes and Trophies
Nothing to report at this time
9: Seniors AGM Minutes
Item – AOB – car park space for the Seniors Captain – not happening as per Steve Norton. GM of the main club
A Notification bell on the dog leg 9th Hole is to be set up in due course
CCTV set up is OK in the entrance hall – main club is to look into the viability of such.
11: Report from Main Club
There is to be an invitation event at the end of the season, for much for all members and guests.
12: Any Other Business
Phil and Paul are to cancel the Thursday Fuddle for the summer.
Exceptional score cards are to be handed over to David Costin to access handicap information.
Hole-in-one monitoring on the club’s Charity Day – in July – volunteers are required.
Flowers at the front entrance to the 1st tee will continue to be funded by the Seniors section.
Malcolm Voce made a viable complaint of the White Tee qualifiers – with regards to the Seniors
Can pros play in the Monday Club competition – to be looked into and Mark Northern will be consulted.
