Minutes of Seniors Meeting

17th February 2021

 

Present:         Patrick McDonough, David Dandie, Dave Clark, Stuart Murry, David Costin, Malcolm Voce

Apologies:      Keith Hepworth, Steve Duty, Chris West

Minutes of previous meeting:

1. Minutes accepted as a true record

Matters arising from minutes:

1. It was mentioned that any matters arising from the minutes would be covered in the AOB section.

Finance Report:

1. Malcolm Voce has paid the deposit for his Captain’s Away day at a cost.

Monday Club report:

1. As we have been in lockdown and no golf is being played, there is nothing to report regarding the Monday Club.

Competitions:

1. The Winter Aggregate has been cancelled for this year.
2. The Winter Pairs will be carried through to the summer, when golfing resumes.
3. At the moment we will be parking the competitions until further notice, once lockdown has been cancelled.

Prizes:

1. There is nothing to report at present.

 

AOB:

1. Regarding the issuing of prize vouchers – through the website prize monies will be shown, which will be dependent on the people entered, and vouchers will either be issued electronically or by paper.
2. Having discussed the above it was agreed that emailed vouchers will be put on hold for the time being.
3. Metaphorically Malcolm Voce will be this year’s new captain. Stuart Murry has agreed to be the vice-Captain for next year.
4. The Seniors captain will attend the Main club meetings when they resume.
5. Meals after club matches will be changed from burger and chips to other type meals, as in the past.
6. Hans Bauder has agreed to audit our annual accounts.
7. Thanks were extended to David Costin and Richard Hone for their efforts and the time working on the new system.
