09th August 2021
Present: Patrick McDonough, David Dandie, Dave Clark, Malcolm Voce, Chris West, Keith Hepworth, Richard Hone, Terry Crofts, David Costin

Minutes of previous meeting:
- Minutes accepted as a true record
Matters arising from minutes:
- Monday Club report – to be kept as it is with no change.
- Review of the Singles and Winter Pairs competitions to dealt with (see below)
- Team shirts will be available in the Pro Shop within the week. Nominated people by the Captain will be able to purchase them at £12.50 with the Seniors paying the £12.50 difference.
Finance Report:
- There was more expenditure than income this month due to the Captain’s Away day.
- A future discussion as how to use the monies for the away day, whether the Captain pays all and claims from finances or to pass everything through finances.
- At present we have a balance of £6449.74.
Monday Club report:
- Working well with no white board being used but considering the use of.
Competitions:
- All is well apart from the Singles.
- Christmas Monday Club – a non-qualifier and a shotgun start, on the 20th
- A referee for the final of the Singles and Pairs – one will be requested if possible. One may be offered if available but it will not be mandatory.
- Subs – now agreed to allow at any point until the quarter, semi and final – after that none are allowed.
- In the Pairs comp, if one partner is unavailable to play and the other does compete and wins, both players will be added to the winner’s board.
Prizes:
- The Winter Pairs winners’ names are to be engraved onto the trophy.
- A4 sheet is to be produced to show distribution of proze monies.
AOB:
- Fixture changes – 22 September – Sleaford away at around 1600. Retford moved from 29th September from the 22nd Belton Park – awaiting discussions especially regarding the hill climb to the 10th tee.
- Two events – Seniors sponsored Ryder Cup v Par 3, 07th October – 40 players, Seniors to pay for the meal afterwards. Annual Charity Challenge for Par 3 on the 17th September – 12 seniors, 12 ladies, 12 Par 3 and 12 main club. £5 charge to charity and £7 to costs.
- Request from Tony Syme – John O’Neill is to be knighted – a trophy or a gift to be presented to a value of £100.
- From the Main Club – EGU needs player email addresses otherwise your details will be deleted. Their presentation evening will be held on 06th
- Seniors presentation – no evening but will be held after a 9 hole comp and trophies to be presented afterwards.
Matters for next meeting:
- As we have a full complement for the Seniors committee, Steve Duty wants to give up the Thursday comp organisation.
