Minutes of Seniors Meeting

20th September 2021

 

Minutes of previous meeting:

  1. Minutes accepted as a true record

Matters arising from minutes:

  1. Referee for the finals of the Singles Competition – Richard Hone, David Costin, and Winston Jones.
  2. John O’Neill – knighted – to be removed as it was a joke that the secretary didn’t realise.
  3. Singles match – a description/commentary to be given the Competition Secretary – (D Costin)

Finance Report:

  1. The balance is £6854.17 and the August expenditure was £2167.57
  2. K Hepworth’s outstanding voucher is to be given to the charity.

Monday Club report:

  1. Numbers are picking up.

 

Competitions:

  1. The Singles Final is to be played on Thursday 23rd
  2. Winter Aggregate were to be played on the last Thursday of the month.
  3. We need to move the Winter Aggregate to the last Monday of the month and move the Aggregate Medal to the first Monday of the month (due to closing the Thursday club – due to lack of numbers).
  4. We will wait for the Main Club to approach us to run the Wednesday competition.
  5. Presentation Day – starts with a 9 hole competition – trophies need be presented – unofficial AGM – on the 25th October

 

Prizes:

  1. Nothing at the moment.

AOB:

  1. Belton Park – in abeyance for the moment – due to the hill to the 10th Buggies are to be offered at £15.00
  2. Seniors to purchase H/C Master Society edition for matches away – Captain’s Away Day for example. All agreed to go for it. Cost will be £60
  3. Seniors committee to arrange a referee for appropriate matches – R Hone to be official observer.
  4. Any charity payments from the Seniors will go to club’s charity – Maggie’s Charity.
  5. We need a fixtures person to deal with Club Matches – D Costin was mentioned.
  6. Kings and Queens competition to be resurrected – S Murry to see about organise this comp.
