Minutes of Seniors Meeting

18th October 2021

 

Minutes of previous meeting:

  1. Minutes accepted as a true record.

Minutes arising from previous minutes:

  1. Kings and Queens competition – we will leave it to the main club to organise.
  2. Portable Master Scoreboard has been purchased and has been used to date. The yearly cost is £50 plus VAT.

Finance:

  1. See the sheets attached to the agenda and previous minutes.
  2. We have a balance of £7023.67.

Monday Club report:

  1. The use of the white board has created interest on the day.
  2. Numbers are healthy.

Competitions:

  1. Next year’s matches have been organised.
  2. Vouchers for the winners of this year’s competitions have been allocated.
  3. Golfer of the year – trophy and glassware – to be presented at the Christmas Monday Club meal.
  4. The Winter Pairs competition is now underway.

Prizes:

  1. Engraving of winner’s name on the trophies is underway. Wen need to get a trophy from Ian Saunders.

AOB:

  1. D Insley scored a hole-in-one at the 6th hole on the 04th October. He purchased a bottle to celebrate and said the Seniors reimbursement to be donated to the local charity.
  2. Christmas Monday Club – 14 prizes are to be handed out.
  3. David Costin is to resign as the Competitions Secretary.
  4. The AGM – in February 2022 – all positions are up for election. Nominations for committee are to be sought.
  5. The presentation day – Monday 25th October – a table will be set up for the trophies and prizes. Malcolm will hand them out and the meal will be at 1:00pm.
