Ramsdale Park Golf Club

Minutes of meeting held Monday 28th February 2022, 14:30.

  1. Minutes of meeting held 17th January 2022.
  •   Matters arising. No matters arising. Minutes passed as a true record.
  1. Debrief of AGM held 14th February 2022:
  • Memorial Cup.It was decided that a number of past seniors should be added to the memorial cup, They are as follows: David Wenn, Graham Coupe, Dennis Hyam, Brian Henstock, John Unwin, Alay Fry, Trevor Rawding.  the number and selection of names will be dealt with by David Costin, any proposals from members should be put to David for nomination (s).
  • Contactless payments. An additional upgraded contactless card machine has now been purchased, this will facilitate all senior payments to be made without cash that will itemise all transactions.  
  • Monday Club procedures and ladies involvement. A good number of Ladies are now taking part in the monday club, the committee agreed that all Ladies are welcome to take part and engage in the senior section where appropriate.
  • Monday Club procedures.Roles and responsibilities.Copy of all roles on web site.
  1. Monday Club. It is encouraged that all payments are made by contactless, £4 per person is payable for all Monday Club competitions, this will include 2’s. The 2’s winnings will continue to be paid in cash.
  2. Treasurers Report. Apologies from treasurer, no report.
  3. Competitions.Winter pairs still to be decided.Summer competitions are now available to enter and register for on our website, It is £3 per competition which is to be paid by contactless, £15 for all competition(s).
  4. Trophies. Discussed above under Memorial Cup.David Dandie to do a review of all trophies in possession  of the Seniors, this may involve updating trophies and purchase of new meaningful ones. 
  5. Welfare.Stuart gave the meeting an update of various aspects of the welfare of some members.
  6. Any other business.Captain explained the team selection process for 2022 season, all payments for matches is to be £16 pp which includes prizes & gratuities, once again it is a preference to pay contactless. Captain is to have a WhatsApp group to include all registered players. It was decided that 2 additional committee members would be co-opted onto the committee (non voting), the 2 new members are : David Insley, Mark Fisher.
