Minutes of meeting held Monday 11th April 2022

Apologies: Stuart Murry, Mark Fisher.

  1. 1.Minutes of last meeting held 14th March 2022.
    • Matters arising.A complaint has been received from a seniors member regarding the decision to revert back to the  Monday Club being open all Ramsdale members.This complaint was responded to by the seniors captain.
    • Minutes are passed a true record.
  1. 2. Finance Report.
    • The treasurer  suggested an improvement in the process of approving and recording expenditure, this was fully accepted.
    • Finance report presented, no issues.
  1. 3.Captains Report.
    • Captain reported that on his captains away day the number of entries currently restricted to 56 players. The Lady captain has now been invited. 
    • The cost for the days is £55 per person, this will be the cost to the members. The seniors section will sponsor the main competition prizes at £5 per person. The captain will separately seek sponsorship for the 4 nearest the pin prizes.
  • Competition Secretary’s report.
    • Confirmation that the Aggregate competition (seniors only) will be run on the last Thursday of every month.
    • Confirmation that the Seniors Championship will be run on 2 consecutive days, Thursday 23rd June & Friday 24th June 2022.
  1. 4.Monday Club
    • The use of the card reader for collecting competition fees has been working well, apart from a few initial teething issues.
  1. 5.Welfare report.
    • Welfare officer not in attendance so no report
    • Secretary mentioned that 2 seniors have had to drop out of the Kenwick Park 3 day trip due to illness.
  1. 6.Any Other Business.
    • It was agreed that the seniors section would, once again, give support to the main club charity day by sponsoring the cost of the insurance premiums for the hole in one prizes. The insurance cost is £317.85.
