Minutes of meeting held Monday 16th January 2023 13:00 hrs

    1. The meeting opened at 13:05

    1. No matters arising, minutes passed as a true record.

 

  1. Correspondence
    1. No correspondence.
  2. Finance report
    1. Treasurer presented an in depth end of year report. Which was discussed in detail by the committee and will be presented to members at the AGM.

 

  1. Captains report
    1. Match dates for 2023, they are on our calendar and will soon be available on our website for members to register their availability.
  2. Competition Secretary’s report
    1. It was agreed that the semi-final round of the winter pairs knockout would be extended until March 4th 2023, this is to take into account current illness’s by some players still in contention.
  3. Monday Club report
    1. Numbers are very good, a record number of 68 players was achieved of late. Competitions would remain as 9 hole format until the end of March 2023 at the earliest.

  5. Any Other business
    1. Social media and the way forward with it was discussed in great detail. We now have 2 WhatsApp groups within the Seniors Section that will be recognised as additional official means of contact with our members and we should encourage the participation of them as a means of communication This does not detract from our website which will always remain the defacto place to go for e-mail communications, HandicapMaster, Competitions and events. These groups are : RAMSDALE SENIORS and RPGC Seniors Committee, These two groups will be monitored and administered by Malcolm Voce (Secretary) and Richard Hone (Captain, 2022). Of course there will be other WhatsApp groups, for Club Matches, outing etc, these are operated by individuals.
    2. After discussion it was decided that all future Seniors Section meetings would take place on the second Monday in every month at 14:30 hrs.
