1. Minutes of the last meeting
The minutes of the last meeting were accepted as a true record.
2. Matters arising from the minutes
2.1 Item 7.2: David C reported that Handicap Master has been amended to reflect that the maximum handicap for a 4 man Texas Scramble is limited to 6.0.
3. Finance
Mike presented the February financial position, highlighting the following:
3.1 Mike gave a verbal report informing the meeting that income and expenditure is performing within budget.
3.2 It was agreed that Mike would produce a 3 monthly finance report.
4. Monday Club
A report on the Monday Club was given by Brian and Keith:
4.1 There have been excellent attendances for the Monday Club, particularly the qualifiers from the yellow tees.
4.2 The Aggregate Medal, now run at the Monday Club, also attracted a healthy attendance.
4.3 At the Monday Club run on 8 May three cards were returned unsigned and, as such, were disqualified (breach of rule 6.6). It was agreed that we would re-introduce the box for players who have completed their round to deposit their (signed) cards.
5. Competitions
David C gave an update on the progress of existing competitions and future competitions:
5.1 The preliminary and first rounds of the singles knockout have been completed on time.
5.2 The next competition for organizing is the Seniors’ Championship (Gross and Net) to take place on 29 June and 6 July. David C will post details at the beginning of June.
6. Prizes/trophies
Paul reported:
6.1 All vouchers have been issued. Paul needs £150 from the Treasurer to cover the cost.
7. Any other business
7.1 Keith announced that the Captain’s Away Day will take place on Friday 21 July at Keddlestone Park Golf Club. The price will be £55, a non-refundable deposit of £25 will be required from entrants. Keith will begin collecting names from the seniors prior to posting.
7.2 It was agreed that the donation to the Captain’s Away day this year will increase to £300. This will be reviewed each year to take into consideration the costs of organizing the event.
7.3 Rob has agreed to take on the responsibility for organizing the raffle for the Away Day.
