Minutes of Monthly Seniors Meeting
20th May 2019
Present: Patrick McDonough, Steve Duty, Stuart Murry, David Dandie, Keith Hepworth, Brian Bailey, Dave Clark
Apologies: David Costin, Mike Jefferies
Minutes of previous meeting:
1. Minutes accepted as a true record
Matters arising from minutes:
1. Reports of club abuse on the course – it needs to be reported in writing to the Executive and then the letter would be forwarded to the main club for action.
2. Flowers leading to the first tee have been done and planted at a cost of approximately £60
Finance Report:
1. Nothing to report at this time
Monday Club report:
1. The last tee time is 0936 for the Monday Club before the Nottinghamshire’s home match
2. Money collected in the Raffle on match days – any excess will be paid to charity.
Competitions:
1. An extra week into July for the Singles matches has been approved due to the adverse weather conditions we have been having.
2. Brian said that because of the weather and congestion of games one of the Medal competitions is to be extended to the first Monday in October.
Prizes:
1. David Clark has told us that Richard Hone has produced a spreadsheet for easier reading and understanding of the prize awards.
AOB:
1. The driving range is not open for when we have matches and for the Monday Club. This is dependent on the staff being available to open the range in a timely fashion.
2. Flushing and cleaning of the loos is much to be desired.
3. The bell has arrived for the 9th hole, just needs proper placement.
4. There is a lack of attendance for club matches, people saying they will play and then not show up. Stuart has suggested that we fine the person responsible unless there are extenuating circumstances.
5. An alternative would be to penalize the person for three club competitions. Another suggestion would be to call the person to the Seniors’ Exec meeting and given a warning.
