Minutes of Monthly Seniors Meeting

 

Minutes of previous meeting:

  1. Minutes accepted as a true record

Matters arising from minutes:

  1. Item 5 (Matters arising) – it is in Ramsdale Park’s constitution (not Main Club) that states there is nothing to say that a rollover of the captain cannot happen.
  2. Item 3 (Competitions) – Winter Pairs to start in October and not November (as minuted) and the season will end in September and not October (as minuted).
  3. Winter Aggregate will start in October and not November (as minuted).

Finance Report:

  1. We have a credit balance of £7234.92.
  2. Income of £550.00.
  3. Expenditures – £381.00.

Monday Club report:

  1. We do not have any idea of who is playing in the Monday Club competitions because it is an all-day affair. Until all scores are entered and the comp is closed, no exact information is available.
  2. Having said that it seems that we averaging near the 50 golfers mark.
  3. It is difficult and messy to hand out the winning issued vouchers, for there is no set time for collection, as in the old system.

Competitions:

  1. The Ryder Cup format – Seniors v Par 3 will take place on the 01st
  2. Winter Aggregate, Stapleford format, will take place on the last Thursday of the month (December excluded). It is the best 3 of 5 rounds.
  3. Seniors Day – Thursday comps – we have published tee times from 0832 until 0920.
  4. Winter Pairs with be a random pick as per previous years.
  5. John O’Neill’s Greensome will take place on the 22nd
  6. Competitions (apart from the Aggregate) will finish at the end of October.
  7. Team games will start from the beginning of November,

Prizes:

  1. The trophy for the last Winter Pairs comp, won by Phil Noon and Terry Crofts on Friday March 20th, 2020 needs to be acknowledged and presented. The runner-up were Patrick McDonough and Brian Stocks.
